How plans and billing work
Last updated: 6 October 2026
1. What every plan includes
- Connections to Twitch, Discord and OBS (through OBS Manager). A platform counts once towards the platform connection limit, however many accounts you link on it, so a Twitch bot account does not use an extra slot.
- Flows: automations you build in the visual flow builder, which react to platform events or run on a schedule.
- Alerts for your stream, with your own media files and text-to-speech.
- Collectables: points and items you give to your viewers.
- Dashboards and in-app notifications.
- Shared access: invite people to help on your account as a Moderator (can build and edit) or an Analyst (read only). They work under your plan and do not need a plan of their own.
StreamWizard is currently in an invite-only beta: you need an invite link to create an account.
2. The event allowance
Each plan includes an allowance of events per hour, per day and per month. Every event a platform sends us for your account (a chat message, a follow, a subscription and so on) uses one event from all three windows. Background events StreamWizard creates for its own bookkeeping are not counted.
When any window is used up, further events are received but not processed by your flows until that window resets. You get an in-app notification when a window is 80% used and another when events start being dropped. The month window follows your billing period; on a yearly plan the year is split into 12 equal monthly windows.
3. The free trial
New accounts can start a 30-day trial of the Starter plan from the Subscription page, with Starter's limits.
- No payment details are asked for, and the trial never turns into a paid subscription by itself. To keep going after the trial, subscribe to a plan.
- The trial can be used once per account, and only by an account that has never had a subscription.
- You can subscribe to any plan during the trial. The paid plan starts right away and the rest of the trial ends; unused trial days are not carried over.
- When the trial ends without a subscription, your account loses the paid features: you can no longer publish flows, and your flows stop processing platform events. Published flows are then unpublished, but nothing is deleted: your flows, alerts, Collectables and settings are kept, and after you subscribe you can publish your flows again.
4. Renewal and payment
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the price of your plan, until you cancel. Payment is taken by our reseller Paddle, the Merchant of Record for all our orders, with the payment method you gave at checkout. Paddle emails you the receipts and invoices, and you can update your payment method or download invoices in the Paddle customer portal, linked from the Subscription page.
If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it for up to 30 days and we send you an in-app notification. You keep your plan during that time; please update your payment method. If the payment still can't be collected, Paddle cancels the subscription and your account loses the paid features.
5. Upgrades, downgrades and canceling
Upgrading
Moving to a higher plan with the same billing interval takes effect immediately and your new limits apply at once. You are charged straight away a prorated amount that Paddle calculates from the time left in your current billing period.
Switching between monthly and yearly billing
You can switch from monthly to yearly billing at any time, and from yearly to monthly billing in the last 30 days of your yearly period. A switch takes effect immediately, also when you pick a different plan at the same time: a new billing period starts that day, Paddle charges the new price and credits the unused part of your current period toward it. If the credit is larger than the payment, the rest stays as a credit with Paddle and pays your next payments automatically. Credit is not paid out.
Downgrading
Moving to a lower plan with the same billing interval takes effect at your next renewal date. Until then you keep your current plan; from then on you are charged the new plan's price. You can undo a scheduled downgrade before it takes effect, at no charge. If you use more than the lower plan allows, nothing is deleted or switched off: you just can't create more of that item until you are under the limit.
Canceling
You can cancel at any time on the Subscription page. Canceling takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep your plan until then and are not charged again. You can resume the subscription before that date. A scheduled downgrade has to be undone before you can cancel, and changing your plan while a cancellation is scheduled removes the cancellation.
When your subscription ends, your account loses the paid features and your published flows are unpublished; nothing is deleted. You can subscribe again at any time and publish your flows again.
Canceling does not refund the current period. A full refund of the current period's payment, or a chargeback, ends the subscription right away. See the Refund Policy for refunds and your statutory rights.
6. Price changes
If we change the price of your plan, we email you 30 days before your first payment at the new price. You can cancel before that payment if you don't want to continue at the new price. See the Terms of Service.
